Ingredients
- 200 gsugar
- 2 dlwater
- 10 ghibiscus tea
- 4 cldark rum
- 3 cllime juice
- 3 clorange liqueur
- 2 dropsbitter almond extract
- ice cube
- 1lime
- ½ tbspsugar
- ½ tbsphibiscus tea
- someice cubes
- 1 sprigpeppermint
Instructions
Step 1
Bring the sugar, water and tea to the boil in a pan. Simmer until the sugar has dissolved, reduce for approx. 5 mins. Leave the syrup to cool, pour through a sieve.Step 2
Pour the rum, lime juice, orange liqueur, almond extract and 3 cl of hibiscus syrup into the shaker. Top up the shaker with ice cubes, shake well for approx. 30 secs.Step 3
Mix the lime zest, sugar and tea on a plate. Pour a small amount of syrup onto a second plate. Press the rim of the glass into the syrup and then into the lime mixture. Fill the glass with ice cubes, pour the cocktail through a fine sieve, garnish with mint.
